iCivics
Explore a selection of projects created during my Graphic Design Internship at iCivics. This collection features social media graphics, infographics, logos, icon design, case study materials, and other branded visual assets developed to support civic education initiatives. Working alongside a talented and experienced creative team allowed me to strengthen my design, branding, and visual communication skills while contributing to meaningful educational content.
Teachers Appreciation Day
For Teacher Appreciation Day, I designed a series of social media graphics that celebrated educators through playful, classroom-inspired visuals. Drawing inspiration from school supplies, handwritten notes, and familiar classroom elements, I created a cohesive campaign that balanced nostalgic design with the organization's brand identity. The collection included themed Valentine's cards, "Starter Pack" graphics, and a "Declaration of Teacher Appreciation,".
Icons
I animated iCivics’ existing icon library to bring their visual assets to life and explore how motion could enhance their educational content. Using their existing brand style as inspiration, I then created new custom icons focused on civic engagement, digital learning, and student interaction while maintaining a consistent geometric and approachable design.
For this case study, I focused on improving the overall visual design, organization, and readability of the document. I refined the page layouts to create a clearer flow of information, incorporated custom graphics and an infographic to highlight key data, and introduced visual elements such as pull quotes, callout boxes, and consistent typography to make the content more engaging. I also standardized the document with a cohesive footer and redesigned the closing page to provide a polished, intentional finish.
